{spring sephora sale | cart + favorites}

I don't share beauty and skincare too often on here because when I become obsessed with something I stick with it for awhile... but I truly love trying out new products more than anything! I have a bin filled with samples that I test out on the daily because I love seeing if something will work better for my skin! The Sephora Spring Sale is one of my favorite events because it's a chance to get some new things at a discounted rate and stock up on favorites. If you know you're going to need new concealer at some point you might as well get it when there's a discount, right? That's my thought process at least! Plus, this time around there's free shipping! YAY! I'm sharing all of the details on the sale here & I'm listing out what's in my cart, my makeup faves, my skincare faves, and my haircare faves! So many favorites!!

Pretty much all of my makeup is available via Sephora. I don't wear too much and I'm certainly not a pro but I love that all of these are quality products that have lasted awhile!

This is a weird time we're living in so by no means do you need any of this! However, it's important that we're taking care of ourselves during this season of high anxiety and stress. I've found that a great skincare routine can help maintain any flare ups and it allows some "me time" every morning and night. Indulging your hair with no heat right now has also been a big plus - sometimes time off is the best antidote for split ends and frizzy roots!

Without further ado... my favorites! Click any image that you want to shop!

Are y'all buying new things or stocking up on favorites?? I'm only a VIB so I can't shop until Tuesday but my cart is locked and loaded :)

{morning skincare routine}

With the weather changing, my skin always craves new products and a change up as well. My skin is extra dry in the winter but any product that is too oily seems to slide right off and doesn't get absorbed.  Does that happen to anyone else? My solution is to clean really deep by exfoliating with a spin brush and then layering on multiple light moisturizers. I'm sharing 5 new products that I've been loving and am going to keep using through the cold weather months! PS I'm wearing only these products plus a quick swipe of mascara in the photos - it's kind of a miracle to me that my skin looks and feels this great in freezing January.

Tula isn't new to me but I haven't tried anything new from them in over a year! They use probiotics in their products because it helps to balance the skin naturally and lock in moisture while reducing the appearance of inflammation - amazing right? I originally ventured to their site to try another product (it's listed below) and stumbled across this one. I use a toner during the summer and needed a new one for the winter that was going to simply do more... this Pro-Glycolic 10% PH Resurfacing Gel gently exfoliates the skin while leaving it smooth and moisturized. Like I said - I need exfoliating power for the cold! The directions say to put a drop on a cotton swab and rub all over your face but I use my fingers if I don't have one on hand. I've noticed less peeling on my face due to wind and dry air!

So I actually got this product last summer but never ended up using it (whoops). I've been a huge fan of M-61 for years and pretty much love every product they sell ha! One thing that people forget is to wear sunscreen in the winter! Even though you aren't sitting out in the sun it's still important to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. This Hydraboost Moisturizer with SPF30 seriously locks in the hydration and it feels so light under my makeup. I'll have to test it out in the summer to see if it holds up under the hot sun too.

I shared this lotion on IG stories a couple of weeks ago and y'all had a looot of questions about it. I have been using it every morning and night and I swear I think my wrinkles have faded (this could easily be in my head haha). It Cosmetics is probably my #1 go-to beauty company - everything is created with plastic surgeons and their products are packed with anti-aging products! I've always been taught that you should moisturize your entire "french face" aka your face, neck, collar bone, and chest. This Confidence in a Neck Cream focuses on that bottom half that people so commonly forget. It works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and keep that thin skin moisturized. It's kind of like a shot of collagen for your neck and chest! It smells incredible (almost citrus-like) and it's a thick consistency so it's easy to feel the moisture right away.

I love love LOVE this product from Tula!! I ventured to their website solely to purchase it because I saw other people testing it out and loving it. Before trying out the Glow & Get It Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm I used two different products to get the same effect that this ONE does: cooling, brightening, moisturizing, and depuffing. This clever little stick does amazing things. I swipe it around my eyes right after moisturizing and then go to make my morning tea while it soaks in. Even though it's blue it doesn't leave a blue residue on your skin - in fact, you can even apply it over your makeup for an extra pick me up. This is going to be in my makeup bag for a very long time!

You can tell that I've used this product to death... in fact, this product technically isn't new because I've been using it since last summer but it's SO powerful that I needed to share it. Just a little bit on a puffy undereye and POOF you look like you've gotten 10 hours of sleep. I'm serious! It tightens the skin up to give you a fresh faced look. Be careful with the amount you use because too much and it will begin to almost peel off when you apply concealer over it. Now I use it before the Tula undereye stick bc that has more moisture. I only use the Dr. Brandt Needles No More No More Baggage Eye De-Puffing Gel if I haven't gotten a good nights sleep or was crying the night before (it happens). Give it some time to absorb before applying anything on top of it!

Those are the products I've been using every morning and loving the results! Have you tried any of them? Is there anything else that y'all can't live without that I should try?

Answering some of your questions from IG:

Q: Oils or serums? Scared to try them but I have super dry skin so feel like it would help!

A: I use serums mainly! I have one face oil that I love but it's primarily for night time because I do find that oils can be a lot on my skin (it's the Caudalie Vine[activ] Overnight Detox Oil). I worry that they clog my pores a bit - but that can be solved with using a spin face brush! My favorite serum is the Sunday Riley Brightening Serum! It makes my skin glow and I love that it smells like oranges.

Q: What is the order you put them on?
A: I went to a beauty event at a dermatologist office and this is what they told me (I've had this written down in my phone for years!) - eye, oil, serum, moisturizer, and then sunscreen! You want to add sunscreen last (if it's not in your moisturizer) because layering anything on top of it could break down the components that protect you from the sun.

Q: Do you wait until it fully absorbs to put foundation on?
A: I don't wear foundation so if I'm thinking about concealer then, YES! Especially with the two under eye products I listed above. Allow your products to soak in before anything so they can work!

Q: Skincare for warmer weather?
A: I'll have to do a post about this in the summer... but I always wear sunscreen! I also focus on moisturizing my under eyes really well. Even though your skin is sweaty that takes a lot of moisture out - I plan on using this gel moisturizer for the summer time :)

Q: Face wash and serums if you use them
A: I love this Fresh Soy Face Wash and my travel face wash is Ole Henriksen! My favorite serum is the Sunday Riley Brightening Serum.

Q: Do you have any products you recommend for skin redness from acne?
A: I am not very acne prone (any spots I get I treat with a salicylic acid cream) but for redness I highly recommend this Bye Bye Redness Skin Relief Treatment Moisturizer. My skin gets very red in  the wind so it helps me a ton!

{moisturizers i've used and loved}

I have tried tons of moisturizers over the years. My skin is always something that I take very seriously - I'm always looking for the next best moisturizer! For a beauty product that you put on your face every day (in the morning, under my makeup, and again at night) you want it to be the best. In my mind that means moisture that lasts all day without feeling oily or drying out quickly.

I recently finished a loooot of products that I really liked - some more so than others! I thought it would be fun to give y'all a run down of everything I've tried, rate them, describe what I liked and what I didn't, and then give the verdict on if I would purchase it again or not.

I naturally have a pink undertone to my skin - so when I got this product I was hoping it would help with some of the warm undertones that contrast with some of my makeup (it's hard to find a concealer that doesn't go yellow). The product is very moisturizing and it absorbed quickly so it worked well in the morning and under my makeup. If you're a makeup guru then you know the green, pink, and yellow makeup some girls use to help discoloration. This product has a light green tint to it (similar to the green on the label) that helps the redness!

Would I purchase it again? No - just because it didn't help with redness on me so I don't see the need.

Give me a moisturizer that has "anti-aging benefits" in it and I'm bound to like it. This Secret Sauce is my all time favorite moisturizer!! I love the smell and the dewy look it gives my skin! It works well in making my skin feel moisturized but not greasy. Which mean it's perfect after I get out of the shower in the morning before I put on my primer and makeup. It's also smooth enough where if I have a patch of dry skin under my makeup this will glide right over without nudging anything. I noticed my skin looked a lot "perkier" after using this for a week!

Would I purchase it again? YES! I'm on my third container ;)

The cult favorite... I'm sure you're not surprised to see this on here! I was sent this in a PR package and fell absolutely head over heels in love. Y'all. It really is amazing I can't lie. It's so moisturizing that I can't use it in the morning. It almost feels like a moisture mask at night. It's a thick consistency and it comes with a little paddle to scoop the product out so you don't stick your fingers in it. It smells so fresh and clean too! The jar is really heavy so it just makes the product feel lush and well made!

Would I purchase it again? Ugh... because it's $$$ I wouldn't. That's why it didn't get a full 5 stars.

The container of this moisturizer was pretty fun - you push on the top and it squirts out the center instead of having to pump a dispenser. It's super lightweight and the product smooths on really well. However, I just don't know if it did anything for me personally. The smell didn't just blow me away and I didn't think that the moisture from the product really lasted. I wanted to add more on top but my skin just got kind of tight

Would I purchase it again? Nope.

This stuff packs a whole lot of amazingness into a little bit! I feel like after using this product I was getting a little face lift every day. It tightened my skin, my wrinkles, and helped minimize my pores. All of the M61 products are amazing but this is a great every night product to purchase. It helps revive dull or dry skin and people worried about hyperpigmentation. It's also safe for people who experience breakouts - this will help because of the glycolic and salicylic acid! Easily the best results and most effective product out of the ones I'm reviewing!

Would I purchase it again? Absolutely!

Not really a moisturizer but this powerful serum only enhanced any moisturizer that I used. The Vitamin C in this product does wonders for making your skin glow! Every time I used it (basically every morning) I looked like I had just gotten 8 hours of sleep. It absorbed into my skin quickly and gave my skin the silkiest texture. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because I may have discovered a better Vitamin C product - however, the Ole Henriksen price tag is much better!

Would I purchase it again? Yes - I already did!

Have you tried any of these moisturizers? What products have you purchased again because you loved them so much?

{BeYu Cosmetics mascara | my secret to long lashes}

It's no secret that my lashes are my power move. When I put mascara on I feel more like myself - more feminine! If I could only put on one piece of makeup every day I would choose mascara. Y'all have seen my beauty reviews before... I'm always looking for the next best mascara that will make my lashes look longer, thicker, and fuller. I love combining mascaras to achieve the look I love! After a couple of failed mascara attempts from well-known popular brands (chunky lashes, flaking, etc.) I decided it was time to go back to the drawing board. Then BeYu cosmetics was introduced to me!  First, I learned all the excellent basics: no animal testing, fragrance free, good for sensitive skin, and in a wide variety of pigments and shades (hello, options). Then, it came down to the true tests - application and lasting power.

I tried four different types: Lash Expert - volume & curl, Power Volume - boosting effect, Power Volume - boosting effect & waterproof, and Beauty Queen - volume mascara waterproof. I was really surprised to like all 4 (I'm seriously picky haha)! None of the bristles made my lashes clump on first swipe and the product was distributed evenly across the bristles.

My favorite combo was the Lash Expert Volume & Curl first and then Power Volume with Boosting Effect layered over. The volume & curl distributed really well and I could already tell it was lengthening them. The boosting effect helped thicken up the roots and define my outer and inner lashes (those tiny lashes that never seem to hold mascara for me). I have really long, natural lashes but they're just blonde haha.

I applied this mascara early Sunday morning for a day of shoots, brunch, car ride home, and then dinner with my girl friends followed by some casual tears through a movie (typical Jenn). I'm not lying when I say that my mascara didn't run AT ALL. I wasn't even wearing the waterproof mascara!! I was shocked and thrilled that I didn't look like a hot mess after.

On the left: my right eye with one application of Lash Expert Volume & Curl mascara (bright blue tube) and my left eye is bare.
On the right: both eyes with Lash Expert and a layer of Power Volume Mascara Boosting Effect (silver tube).

So where can you find my new favorite mascara brand?! Wegman's! The magical store (I could spend hours in) sells this magical mascara. Looking for your closest Wegman's? Find the one closest to you here. If you don't have a store near you then you can shop online at Target here!

Have y'all tried this brand before? I'd love to know your thoughts. Also, if you purchase it let me know! I'm excited to have fallen in love with a mascara that's actually in a reasonable price range!!

*This post was sponsored by BeYu Cosmetics - but all opinions, photos, and thoughts are my own. I've been using these mascaras for the past month and am genuinely a fan and am excited to keep using them!*

{mini summer beauty haul review | sephora}

I went into Sephora for ONE thing and came out with a little bag of goodies... I just can't help it. But, what girl can? That section with all the samples right along the check out line just tempts you with hidden gems. It's been a month since I brought home these new products so I thought I would give y'all a review on them - what was a hit and what was a miss!

Tarte Scrub Clean Cleansing Set ($12)

I was most excited to try this product. I'm always looking for a good mask and ways to clean deep down in my pores. This packet contains mini samples of full size products that you can buy separately that promise to give you a radiant glow. The whole purpose is so you can try the trio together and then splurge to get the individual pieces at full size. Whelp, I was less than thrilled... there were multiple combinations you could do: oil alone, scrub alone, spot treatment, scrub and oil together, and then the option of using the silicone scrubber. I liked the pink scrubber the most - I now travel with it so that I don't have to carry my Clarisonic! It helps enhance the deep cleanse of any face wash and it doubles as a mini brush cleaner.

Would I buy it again? Just the pink silicone scrubber.

Peter Thomas Roth Mask Sampler Kit ($25)

I can't say no to a good mask! The temptation of SIX new masks was too much for me. I also loved that there was one for every occasion. I always admire the Peter Thomas Roth masks when I walk around Sephora (one is legit gold and shiny...). This sampler kit was the first thing in my basket once I found it - whoops. The 6 different masks are: intense hydrating, stem cell bio-repair, lift & firm, purifying, cucumber gel, and pumpkin enzyme. They're all good for different types of skin. You simply cover your face in one of the masks (they're all really thin and light) then wash off with water after 10 minutes. Quick, easy, and mess free. I genuinely liked every mask that I tried! Sometimes it's hard to tell if you got results after such a thin application but my skin felt soft and rejuvenated every time! It was fun to read all of the labels and decide which mask would be best for my skin. Plus, the colors are pretty enticing. I'm wearing the blue mask for extra hydration right now! (The masks don't actually turn your face that color - it's a gel so you can hardly see a tint.)

Would I buy it again? Yes, I'd buy the sampler pack and give each small sample as Christmas gifts with other little goodies and I would buy the Pink mask and Black mask for myself!

Smashbox Spotlight Palette by Casey Holmes ($35)

Okay, THIS was the entire reason for my Sephora visit in the first place. I ran out of my trusty highlighter and had seen this palette by Casey Holmes (an awesome YouTube vlogger) everywhere - no, I have actually seen it all over my Twitter for months. Verdict? It is worth every damn penny!! I got the Pearl Soft Highlight and can't get enough of it. I use the middle color as my regular highlight (cheek bones and bridge of my nose), the left color for the inside corners of my eyes and if I'm feeling a little fancy I use the right color underneath my brows on my lids to make them pop (it's the most sparkly color). A little bit of highlight goes a long way and it stays too. I love being able to put a bit of highlighter on instead of contouring in the summer - people have noticed too! I get compliments on what a great "summer glow" I have ;) haha!

Would I buy it again? Yes, in a heartbeat!!! This highlighter was my favorite purchase!

Clinique Chubby Stick in "Whole Lotta Honey" ($17)

Is it really a trip to Sephora if you don't pick up a new lippie? I love the Clinique chubby sticks because of how moisturizing they are. My first chubby stick was Sophomore year of college in Mega Melon - a color I still continue to purchase. The color is subtle and you can easily layer it to get a richer color on your lips. I use this in the summer as if it's a lip balm - it's that moisturizing. It won't last you through a club sandwich but it will stay put through a morning cup of coffee during a meeting.

Would I buy it again? Yes, and in multiple colors (which I already have hehe)

Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara ($23)

I hear rave reviews about this mascara brand all the time. I picked it up because so many people have said that it's their favorite and because the waterproof was new. I prefer my mascaras to be waterproof because I'm a crier #allthefeels. I was less than thrilled with this mascara though... I found the application to be really chunky and I wasn't able to get the same extension of my eyelashes because the product was heavy. I have pretty long lashes and the product dried very brittle - so if I had my reading glasses on and hadn't curled my lashes I could hear them scratching against the glass. I would find more mascara flakes under my eyes throughout the day as well. However, I'm still using it because I don't want it to go to waste. I use a Maybelline mascara all over and then I'll apply this one just on the tips very very lightly. It is definitely waterproof so that's a plus!

Would I buy it again? Probably not. I love this It Cosmetics mascara way too much.

Do y'all have any new beauty products that you've tried recently? I'd love to test them out! Also, do you like these kind of posts? Do you like to see haul reviews? Let me know in the comments below :)
